Hey all,
I'm from southern Indiana. Love to have a beer (or more) while smoking/grilling.
I have a Big Green Egg I recieved as a service award from my work & an old Webber charcoal grill.
I'm pretty much just learning the ART of smoking.
All tips & recipes are welcome.

An old friend told me once. If you're lookin ya ain't cookin.

Welcome to SMF you've come to the right place. Try signing up for Jeff's 5 Day Ecourse its free and has some great info. You'll also find lots of good info and some great recipes here. There are some BGE owners here and they all seem to like them. If you have questions ask and someone will try to answer them. Have fun and happy smoking

Welcome Mamasboy!

Where in Southern IN are you?

Piney's right...the 5 day e-course is a great place to start. The BGE is well-liked by those who own them. It looks to be a well-built versatile smoker/grill.

Ahhh young Padawan, you've come to the right place. Just find the right area to post your questions and you'll be churrning out some serious Q before you know it.

Great company gift. I'd stick around there.

Welcome to the forum.we are always glad to meet a new member.

First off welcome to SMF. You really like ti here there are alot of good people here that just love to help anyone with question. Like piney said the 5-day E-course is free and very informative to boot. So read uop and get SMOKIN

Welcome aboard! The BGE is a very good unit from I've read...spendy to buy, but, You get what you pay for. They are great for holding heat because of the thermal mass of the ceramic body. Once you learn how it likes to cook, you'll be off to some great smokes.

Enjoy!

Eric

A big green egg, and a weber kettle. My oh my, you have the right gear right from the get go. Patience grasshoppa! Ask questions in the charcoal or meat area to get started.

In the mean time, welcome aboard!

Welcome aboard like everyone else said. Good luck on your smokes, and ask questions if need be.
