Just a friendly reminder for everyone to check their Private Message settings.

I tried to reply to a member's PM this morning, but this member has blocked recieving PM's so my response was lost.

When logged in, go to User CP, click "Options", and about 1/2 page down is the Private Messages section with 4 checklist items to select. Try those, and then pop me out another PM and I'll send you a test to make sure it works...then I'll respond to your first msg.

Click on users cp at the top of the page then click on edit Options on the left side.
Scroll down till you see the Private Messaging box and make sure that (Enable Private Messaging) is checked.
That's about all you have to do. :)

I just tried a couple times in the past 5 minutes...still can't send a PM to you...maybe get with a moderator (in chat) would be the best. If I can't send you a PM, they may not be able to either.

Any mods on tonight that can help us out with this one?

Dear Eric, I am not blocking Your PM's because it is within the realm of possibility that I may receive an important message from one of the SMF members, perhaps even you. Telling me that they/You have won the Powerball Lottery. Over 58 million dollars in fact. The lucky person will have spent the last 48 hours or so in kind of a tizzy as to what to do with all that money. Finally it would have been decided that poor old Gnubee way up there in the great white north could use at least 1/2 of it. Whew what a relief ....... I have to PM Gnubee right away with the good gnu's .

Imagine my chagrin if years later I found out that I had them blocked and the money went to a home for wayward andalusian ducks instead of me.

Luckily if by chance that person or persons does PM me , I am waiting.....
It is a small service I can preform for the betterment of my fellow man.

Applaud if you like but I ask no thanks its enough to know that I have once again helped someone in need.

Sorry Eric, but my great great great gran daddy fought in the revolutionary war, so I don't have to deal with a PM today!

( I might be missing a great or two, but I am a son of the revolution).
