The Ozark Mountains
Another newbie here. I'm using an el cheapo Brinkman at the moment but I plan on upgrading in the future. Going to try my first turkey for tomorrow. I've done several boston butts with good results and I hope the bird turns out OK. Hope to learn alot from the site.

Hope your turkey goes well. Be sure to give us a report, complete with pictures.

Glad to have you with us.

Welcome! Always good to see another fellow Ozark hillbilly and ECB user here. I bought mine at Bass Pro in 1975.

Show us what you smoke and ask if you need to know something, lotta smokin' knowledge here.

Another hillbilly huh? Welcome neighbor, you've joined the most knowledgable and friendliest smoking forum on the web. Got questions? Ask 'em. These people are unreal in there smoking intellect. ANd we all love hearing new ideas and recipes. You also might consider Jeff's 5 day e-course on smoking meat. It's worth the effort of signing up and you can't beat the price anywhere. No really it's free.

Thanks for the welcome all. I did the free smoking meat deal a few weeks ago and just now got around to joining the forum. I'm trying to locate the post about modifications for the ECB. I thought I saw something about some mods for it in the smoking meats 5 day deal. And I'm absolutely an Ozark Hillbilly I even spend my spare time riding around the hills on a good ole Missouri mule.

Welcome to the SMF. Don't downplay your Brinkman, many of us started on one, and many of us STILL use them. There is a lot to learn, at every level of smokin'. Happy Thanksgiving my new friend!
