Hello all, my name is David. Im originally from the BBQ state of the world (lol) Texas. Im currently living in Longview,Washington and trying to find a 250 gallon propane tank to turn into a pit. I love bbqing, making home brew, sausage, pepperoni, and all kinds of rubs and marinades. If there is anyone close to here that knows any places to get a decommissioned tank or anything please let me know.

David, welcome to SMF!  I can't help with the propane tank but wanted to say "hi" and not leave you hanging.  The forum is a little slow as the summer wraps up.  Post your question over in the Smoker Builds section and you might get a quicker response.

Good luck with your search.

Ray

PS, I just had a thought.  Check with the local propane suppliers.  They might be able to steer you toward a source of old tanks no longer certifiable for propane storage.

Good afternoon and welcome to the forum, from cooler and rainy day in East Texas and the best site on the web. Lots of great people with tons of information on just about  everything.
