So my new concession trailer has a nice little Backwoods on it, but time, and weather haven't been really nice to her.  Its got a nasty rust hole in the back panel, been converted to work with a Guru vs. the sliding door, little bubbling on the roof... etc.  So were going to give it a facelift using some nice high grade stainless.  Ill get some pics as we get going.  Should be a fun project, that my (still killing me) back can handle.  First order of busyness is the back panel, with some custom finishing with my new business logo polished into it.  Then removing the old fan controls and getting to work on the sides.  It has a nice custom stainless stack, that I think I can mill down gently and re-polish.  Going to bead blast the corner protectors, and finish them in a blue epoxy to match the trailer.

It will be a little slow at first, got a nasty cold to go with my wrecked back.  Don't want to get my buddy (with the sheet metal brake, and half the fab tools) sick.  Plus our weather still is a little shaky, its not even 28 degrees here right now.  Ive been playing with the logo design, and trying to decide if I want to build some nicer stainless food racks for the BW while we're at it.. The ones in it aren't bad, but nicer is always nicer, and expanded SS seems to clean easier than wire racks.

Sorry this is taking so long, I have another MRI tomorrow night, to see if they missed some of the herniation when they did my back surgery.  Been pretty slow getting around lately. My leg is about useless again, the sciatic nerve isn't a fun thing to have pressure on...  Anyway....  I did get a look at the sheets we will be using, this should come out really nice.  I almost changed my mind, and went with a painted mild steel sheet... custom paint is fun too...  I think where its a commercial deal, SS is the way to go.  Ill get some before close-ups once this SNOW stops!  I thought we were done with winter, but its snowing harder right now than it did most of the winter.

Sorry to hear your health issues are slowing you down.  I've been looking forward to watching your project...I've always admired those Backwoods smokers.  It's hard to believe you're still dealing with snow!  I don't know how you northerners do it...the older I get the less I care for the cold winters.  I don't think I could live somewhere where the winters start so early and stay so late.
