Hello, its been a while since ive posted any thing but i do check in from time to time and enjoy the comments....
Well i ordered a Flame Boss 200 for my old Royal Oak off set stick burner..similar to the Oklahoma joe...
I have read different views as to where to place it on the fire box. On another site i read where if you place it where the butter fly damper is located that it will blow ash into the cooking chamber and on to the cook ....
I have made several mods to my smoker such as a baffle and tuning plates and i would think that they would work well to keep any ash below the cooking rack.. opinions ?
It seems to me that the best location would be to place it where the butter fly damper is and aimed about an inch below the charcoal basket so as to move heat and smoke towards the cooking chamber ... but im still undecided ...
I hope ive explained my situation ok ...
Thanks for any advice...
