greetings! My background in competitive BBQ began in the NW a few years ago and our team has done well in competitions with the following smokers: GMG Daniel Boone Pellet, Weber Smokey Mtn Cooker, and an older off-set Brinkmann. I'm hoping to take us to the next level by building our own smoker. My skill is in cooking more than fabrication so I'm hoping to swap tips or be helpful to newer cooks while I take the plunge into building my own reverse-flow smoker and leverage the skills and expertise of the RF build forum. A buddy of mine and I are taking a MIG welding class and we're expecting to mod the Brinkmann as practice, build a patio smoker to specs inspired on this forum, and then see if we have the skills and talent to put a larger one together. At least, that's the plan.
