Hey to you fellow colon abusers.  I love to work with meats but my old offset has kept me running and now we both are dealing with the aging process....so I have ordered a new electric job with horns and whistles.  I look forward to seeing how others enjoy smoking and hopefully learn something.

Welcome from SC. It's really good to have you here on this great site. I hope you're over 71, since you refer to yourself as an old person. I always like to meet folks who are older than I am, but it doesn't happen much any more.

Good luck and good smokin', Joe. :grilling_smilie:

Hello Joe:  Thanks for those words, except the age thing.  You barely lucked out by the age 71 limit.  I speeded right past that by 1 year.  (1944) war baby.  I was born and raised in MO but have spent last 31 years in Bismarck ND.  Smokin meat since late 50's when grandpa had a real smokehouse.  Wish I had paid more attention to their processing almost every thing on the farm.  Have a nice day.  Troy
