Been smoking an grilling for 50 plus years, always looking to learn new ways (a very slow learner). Over the years, I have built nearly every kind cooker known to man,IMO, thes best is the UDS
 
Welcome Lonnieelrey2.  Glad you found SMF.  Hopefully you'll find some useful ideas to spark those cowboy bones of yours.  Worn out, brand new, calloused or rubbed raw, we all fit here because we can still smile and smoke meat!  Plenty of UDS smokers here.  Heck, I'm contemplating taking the water pan out of my WSM this weekend to smoke a chuckie UDS style.  See, you gave ME an idea.
