I am on my second MES 30 inch smoker (old style) that has experienced a cabinet short.  only solution is to replace the cabinet from Masterbuilt for about $70.00.   has anyone with the newer model with control module built into the front of the top had a problem with cabinet shorts?

thanks, this is decision point for me, on get another cabinet or get a new smoker.

thanks

I would go with the fixing of the Gen #1.

You don't want the Gen #2, even without a Cabinet Short.
