Welcome Alan, from another old S. FL Cracker!

If you ever have an extra hog, umm, hook a brother cracker up!  My next door neighbor's hunting friend went and got himself a smoker, so my supply of wild hog ran out.

Hi SMF,
my name is Scott I live in Martinsville Virginia. I am building my first ever smoker and am doing a reverse flow. I am building it out of a 500gal propane tank that I got from the propane company I work for. I plan on setting up on the weekends to sell BBQ. I also plan on cooking for fundraiser and party. I love to cook. I look at cooking as an art and wanting to add the art of smoking to my resume and hopefully turn it into a family business teach the art to my sons and pass it on to them.

Hello Alan...Welcome aboard!  This is the best place I know for sharing ideas on smoking, grilling, curing, etc.  There are plenty of friendly, knowledgeable folks who really enjoy helping one another.  Looking forward to your input here, and just ask when you need anything...someone here will surely have the answer.

Hey all

I have about 20 hogs from 50 pounds to a boar at 500lbs and 2 barred( never had nuts, born on my property) at about 400=-425

I live in lake worth I am asking $1.00 per pound on the hoof (live) I vet all my pigs out and feed corn, beet meal, bread, donuts, soy meal,

my big pigs have about a 3" or more fat cap around all of the meat and the ribs are very meaty( most feral hogs have no meat on the ribs)

just let me know

thanks

Ps: any so fla crackers that want to get together for a smoking weekend I'm in I got the the pork :_)
