Finally getting around to my welcome post....

Living in southern Wisconsin, Chicago suburbs native. Long time BBQer with a big ol' drum style pit w/ offset firebox. Recently got a MES 30 when a friend showed me how easy it was to make bacon. I've been making a lot of sausage as well, fresh and cured and smoked. I hope to some day get into fermented sausages.

Love your site, I've already learned a ton in the short time I've been here.

I also play the banjo, I hope that doesn't disqualify me...

Welcome aboard!  This is the best place I know for sharing ideas on smoking, grilling, curing, etc.  There are lots of friendly and knowledgeable folks here who genuinely enjoy helping one another.  Looking forward to your input, and just ask when you need anything...someone here will surely have the answer.
