We're in the process of preparing ribs, and have realized we have no mustard... are they gonna turn out ok if we just rub em? Or is there something else we can put on em?

Mustard is just used to help the rub adhere alittle better to the meats. I've used mayo on some things also. Some use a coating of EVOO. I usually just leave the ribs alittle damp from water before adding rub.

try W/ sauce before ya rub...........

I'm w/ Bubba. I use worchest sauce to help my rub on everything. I'm not crazy for the mustard idea, actually don't use it at all anymore.

You'll do fine.

Good luck!

You have to give up your membership on this forum if you don't use mustard on your ribs. Sorry, it is just the way it is.

KIDDING! Do what feels right and don't worry about the mustard. There are lots of ways to make the rub stick.

There is no one right way to smoke ribs. I have found that if you just use rub the ribs come out fine. Enjoy your smoke!

Take care, have fun, and do good!

I never use mustard and my ribs come out just fine.

If I had a dollar for everytime I forgot the mustard I'd have 5 dollars.
You'll never tell the difference. I didn't put it on a picnic once, the only thing I seen there was the bark wasn't as thick.Hell I'm not really even sure that was the reason.
