Ok ok...here's a spatchcock on the mini

    yup... the mini is a perfect lil unit... I don't even bother getting the big unit out anymore....

    Thanks link...i'm trying to come up with different seasonings and methods but this just works!  Hope you make it to kings Michigan gathering, hope i can make it also.  Keith

    I'll second that! I have no idea why I'm even building a UDS [​IMG]

    Nice Spatchy Keith! I showed my butcher a picture of one of my spatched birds and now he's selling spatchcocked birds!

    He's marking up the price to have to spine already cut out?  Ha ha too funny!    It's so nice having both the uds and mini...both have their purpose.   Actually they are so similar in the way they cook it's just ones way bigger and doesn't need a heat diverter. 

    The other thing that's nice with the UDS is when you bring up the basket to sear it flames up hot right away as with the mini you have to wait a few minutes to get it super hot....the basket in the UDS let's so much more air get to it.
