Hello one and all! I am new to this forum as well as to smoking. I have never attempted this before, but I have moved to Texas and now feel it is part of my duty to learn from the best. I purchased an electric smoker to start on my journey. My wife says I am not allowed

to play withcan fire, so electric it is. I went out and purchased a Masterbuilt 30" Signature from Lowes and am wondering if anyone

has a suggestion for first time smoking. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the republic of Texas. I think the most important advice I have learned as a newbie myself, is to be very patient. When I first started smoking, I was like a kid before christmas trying to sneak some peeks. The more you open, the longer it will take. Of course this is coming from a guy who uses coals, I don't know much about electric smokers.

Hey

Welcome to the Smoking  forum.   You’ll find great , friendly people here, all more than willing to answer any question you may have.  Just ask and you’ll get about 10 different answers—all right.  LOL.   Don’t forget to post qviews.  Just make sure you season the MES before you do your first smoke--lots of info on that here
