So i started off just making a griller... untill i found smokers!! Then found an old propane bottle to use as the fire box
I got an old desk frame that i modified to mount the smoker onto.
Tried mounting the fire box together, then worked out i cut the hole wrong! Re weld and cut a new oval shape. This process was rather challenging with 2 cylinders!
Mounted and door cut out.
Air intake fabricated
Door on, with handle and latch made. Everything to do with a cylinder firebox is difficult! !
exhaust mounted. This is too long at the moment according to calculators, but i wanted to wait just in case!
gave it all a good burn off, but the cooking chamber was a little rusty and i couldnt get it to a nice finish to be painted.. next stop sand blaster!
straight after picking it up from sandblaster, really glad i did this cost $40 and got it looking new again. 3 cans of high temp paint was next!
Put a couple of thermometers in the lid, added A bit of woodwork for the shelf and shes done (for now!)

Looking good. Can't wait to see some TBS coming out of the stack and some meat cooking. Good luck and good smoking. Joe

Hey guys, first smoke was a beer can chicken, ended up noce however the legs were a bit under and skin a bit rubbery. I also am having trouble sourcing good fruit or nut wood for it, hickory etc is pretty scarce over here!
