I am from Baldwinsville NY a small town just outside of Syracuse. Been smoking for about 10 years now with a cheap propane smoker. Just bought a green mountain Davey Crockett. Can't wait to start using it this weekend!

    Hi Dave,

I am from the Syracuse area to and was wondering  where you got your grill from and how the service was?  Also I'm  undecided over the DB or the JB? I'd be willing to hear  anything you learned  from your grill buying experience. What have you cooked on it and is there hot spots. Is the WIFI feature really worth the money? i am  also a newbie and looking to upgrade from a electric smoker. Also what do you think of the smoke flavor? Been reading a lot of reviews and it seems like  its divided on weather they give off enough smoke flavor

Thanks for the chance to pick your brain and maybe once i get my tax refund back ill be a proud owner or one too

I purchased it from A Cozy Hearth, Fireplace and Stove Shop 1086 State Fair Boulevard. Have not received it yet as he had to order it. Hopefully it will be in today. I will let you know how it works.

Smoked a pork butt yesterday, took along time. Have to get used to the new smoker and the way it cooks. Came out real good. I am having a problem getting the WIFI to connect have to contact green mountain tomorrow.
