My name is Christopher, I've been reading through the forums the last couple of days because a friend put the idea into my head to build my own smoker. I'm still searching for a vintage fridge but in the short term I'm going to convert a working electrical double stack oven into a smoker, pics below. I'll post in the build forum for some advice and clarification, on some issues. Thanks in advance.

Looking forward to interacting with yall!!!

Ray,

Are you an Aviator?  I wanted to start smoking awhile ago, but I couldn't find a reasonably priced smoker, so I am working on building this temporary one until I can find a great fridge to set up.  I'm figuring that this will be a good warm up.

Former Naval Aviator.  Long time ago.  Single seat/light attack.  Got out of the Navy at the end of '87.  Although I also have a commercial/instrument ticket, I haven't pursued aviation as a career or a hobby, but it was a good time.
