I live in Florida but am from Louisiana. I own several grills,none are propane.I use to make and sell grills.Currently I use a $25 Brinkman smoker I bought at Wal-Mart over 20 years ago.I'm a pipefitter/welder by trade for over 29 years now.

Welcome to the family! Looking forward to seeing more of your posts, as I'm sure you can offer some tips for smoker builders with your background, as well as offer help to the newbies with the basic cheapo smoker questions that always come up.

One of my rigs is a modified brinkmann gourmet charcoal with an additional barrel and grates from a smoke n grill. Those cheapos aren't the best, but they can turn out some great eats with a patient hand at the controls...
