Hi my name is mark from the north woods of WI. I like to grill and drink beer. Sounds like a grill session that takes 12 hours is perfect. I'm a noob to the low and slow Q method but have been grilling on a weber kettle grill for quite a while.
my specialty is rotiss. ham

I've learned alot just lurking but time to jump in and share my upcoming Q's

this weekend I have a brisket planned. I have a cheap brinkman that someone gave me, but will most likely upgrade to a weber . i did pulled pork for the superbowl and it turned out pretty good.

so who needs a beer?

welcome aboard Mark,as u know lots-a friendly folk around here,to early for a beer right now but ask when I get back from cosco-makeing a meat run.

Great lookin' ham ... you'll fit right in. (Rotiss ... wonder if I can adapt that to fit FUGLY ?)

Welcome to SMF, and a whole new dimention of food! Related to your current passion, yet it's more like an -in-law...LOL... well, a loved one at least!

Don't know if I "need" a beer but I'd sure like one! Did you rig up that rotissary for the Weber Kettle or do they now make one for it? You can make some mighty fine Q in a Weber using the offset coals. Love doing beer butt chickens on my kettle.
Welcome to the SMF!

Lou

the rotiss is a weber product. It ain't cheap, and its hard to find, you might have to order it. I bought mine as an open box deal.

I've done some long porks roasts and turkeys, but haven't had luck with brisket, my wife loves good brisket. Plus its fun to surprise the neighbors with my grilling antics.

Welcome to the SMF, Super Bowl is a good time to try something new. Most folks have already had a few brewskies and taste buds are loose. Now I now your pulled pork came out good, just a little humor for you.

Hodag, That ham looks great and don't let anyone tell you it is too early for a beer, its always 5:00 somewhere, besides 24 beers in a case 24 hours in a day you do the math. HE HE HE. Welcome aboard.
