So I am looking to take the leap into smoking meat. A couple buddies have MES and I think for convenience that is the way I am going to go. Going to get the MES 40" 2.5 from SAMs club.

I have LOTS of questions and I continue to read the forums here , but I've heard from a couple people that they won't do fish in their MES because they are afraid that it will make all their other food taste fishy. I know someone else who claims that's not true.
So I'm thought I'd come here to get some advice. Thoughts?

Glad to have you with us!

I have 6 smokers & smoke fish in all of them, doesn't change the flavor of the next smoke, and the smoker doesn't smell fishy.

Next question:
Been reading about the Amaze n products. I figure I'll do a few smokes with the MES out of the box, but I like the idea of one of those products for some extra smoke. Which one do you suggest for my MES 40" gen 2.5?

SmokinAl has you covered on the fish...

As for the Amazen products, they can't be beat! I have MANY of their products and use them for all types of smoking.
