Hi Folks, this is Smoking Red. I am new to the smoking scene.Just got a masterbilt 40' electric smoker still in the box.It has been raining something terrible here in the DFW area of Texas, but I plan on geting my feet wet smoking this weekend, starting with a couple of chicks (Chicken) first open to any pointers and recipes

Welcome from SC, Red. This is a great site with lots of good folks who are always eager to share their ideas and tips. All you have to do is ask and keep reading. Chicken is a great way to start. They are inexpensive and easy to cook. Go up to the search bar and look for chicken recipes. When you're reading, look at the spatchcock method. It makes the cook even easier and will give you a really good finish and taste.

Good luck and good smoking, Joe
