Hi Everyone,

I'm Angelle from Ottawa and currently in the mist of buying a smoker I am not sure between electric or propane.

HELP :)

Hello and Welcome to our addiction.  A word of warning: There is no 12 step program for this one!  Many good folk here with a load of experience that they are more than willing to share.  If you have specific questions just start a thread and someone with experience will be along soon to offer advice.  All info you can provide us with such as smoker type, location and so on will help us answer any questions you may have.  Spend some time doing some research on the forums, tons of advice and recipes already available there.  Is charcoal out of the question and if so why?  A little more info would be helpful but here are a couple things to consider.  Propane and electric both have pluses and minuses.  The first tihing to consider is do you have access to an electrical outlet outside?  If not do you have space in the breakerbox to add an outdoor outlet?  If the answer to both is no then the expense has gone up quite a bit.  Do you want the "option" of portability?  If yes then you would need an electrical outlet where ever might take it.  Just a few things to consider.  We look forward to your contributions.  Have fun.  Good luck.  Keep Smokin!
