    hello my name is joel, i am 36 and from wisconsin, last year i bought a charbroil smoker grill and started smoking ( very addictive) i have made a couple butts, one brisket and wrecked a my first rack of ribs. my last  butt i did stalled at 165 and my company was getting restless so i took it off it was ok but didnt fall apart very easy shoulda just keft it on for a little longer

    Howd and welcome to SMF joel.... glad ya joined. Sorry you didnt get to let your last butt get to temp. .. makes a difference. NEXT time im sure it will be great... if you need amy help getting around SMF just ask away!

    Most everything you smoke has a stall temp, just be patient and finally it will start rising again. Remember it's done when it's done. When you pull it off be sure and let it rest for a while.

    Welcome aboard, Joel!  You've found the best place I know for sharing ideas on smoking, grilling, curing, etc.  There are plenty of friendly, knowledgeable folks here who really enjoy helping one another.  Looking forward to your input here, and just ask when you need anything...someone here will surely have the answer.
