hello my name is joel, i am 36 and from wisconsin, last year i bought a charbroil smoker grill and started smoking ( very addictive) i have made a couple butts, one brisket and wrecked a my first rack of ribs. my last  butt i did stalled at 165 and my company was getting restless so i took it off it was ok but didnt fall apart very easy shoulda just keft it on for a little longer

Howd and welcome to SMF joel.... glad ya joined. Sorry you didnt get to let your last butt get to temp. .. makes a difference. NEXT time im sure it will be great... if you need amy help getting around SMF just ask away!

Hello, and Welcome from East Texas. This is a great site, lots of good information and great people.


Most everything you smoke has a stall temp, just be patient and finally it will start rising again. Remember it's done when it's done. When you pull it off be sure and let it rest for a while.
