Hi All,

My name is Jeff and I am not only new to the forum, but pretty new to smoking in general. I have dabbled in it over the years with a charcoal smoker, but never really had (or took) the time to learn it. I have just purchased a new 30" Masterbuilt electric smoker and am ready to learn and experiment. I've always wanted to make a killer smoked brisket...just to name one of my goals.

I am currently transitioning from Wisconsin to the Tucson Arizona area which is where my smoker is living. I'm enjoying this forum and in fact have already recieved answers to a few "beginner" questions I had. I'll look forward to participating and from what I've seen, learn a lot from the group.

Great to be here!

Jeff

You are about to embark on a lifetime journey of deliciousness. BBQ is the best way to eat I have found (but then I was raised on it) and try to gather anything I can to do :

If you didn't read the "Terms of Service" notes.....please do.  There are a few things that everyone should know about those pesky little rules before plunging into the forums. http://www.smokingmeatforums.com/a/terms-of-service

Sometimes as a newbie...loading the q-view can be a bit tricky until you gt the hang of it! This might help you with uploading photos to your post if you ever have troubles.

Thanks Kat. A number of folks have mentioned Qview so I will be checking that out and hopefully contribute. I sure understand about the "terms and conditions" rules and will read them ASAP. I appreciate the welcome!

Jeff

I've heard comments about using Qview....I think I know what it is, but how do I access and use it to post my exploits? I seasoned my new smoker yesterday and today I'm trying a couple beef jerky recipes just for fun. So far so good...Thanks.
