hi guys and gals am paul from northwest uk my wife bought me a offset smoker not used it yet as looking for thermometers and which wood is good am total noob thanks for having me

Glad you joined the group. The search bar at the top of any page is your best friend.
About anything you wanna know about smoking/grilling/curing/brining/cutting or slicing
and the list goes on has probably been posted. Remember to post a QVIEW of your smokes.
We are all smoke junkies here and we have to get our fix. If you have questions
Post it and you will probably get 10 replies with 11 different answers. That is
because their are so many different ways to make great Q...

As a newbie also, I have to tell you that this is the best place to learn.  There is a search engine at the top of each page,  If you don't find what you need there, then start a thread.  You will be impressed how willing the people here are willing to help.

Good luck.   Also remember that most people on this site love to see pictures.  LOL
