I've been looking around for a month or so now and figured it was time to introduce myself. I'm not 100% new to smoking ( a couple of whole hogs, butts, ribs, etc with the old man and uncle) but haven't ventured off on my own yet. I've just moved to the coastal GA region and live in an apt. now so I think my soon to be obsession is going to have to be on hold for a while. I could go on and on about my never ending quest for the perfect BBQ restaurant (Lexington style BBQ that is) but I'll leave that for another day.

Welcome to SMF, glad to have you here.

Welcome Rhino -

Glad you found us. There's alot to learn and alot of reading so hanging with the old man and uncle a while longer won't be to bad - you might end up teachig them a few tricks!

Welcome to SMF !!!

An apartment is no reason to hold off, make do with a court yard , garage or patio deck. It does not take several square feet to produce a good smoke (Just neighbors that will not complain that it smells too good !!!) Honestly, do not limit yourself, you can make it happen. Let'er buck !!!
