My name is Ken and i have been reading on the forum for 3-4 months.Ive been wanting to smoke for a long time and i finally did it.I live 28 miles from Penn state .Im sure everyone knows where Penn State is . Now that hunting is over and the ground is almost froze so i have to quit metal detecting i needed something for the cold months.I decided to smoke things on the weekends. I have done 3 BBB and 10 pound of cheese. I was using a dorm size refridgerator for smoking the cheese.I work in a student housing complex so there easy to come by. They work very good for cold smoking cheese.Well 1 month ago i was in Lowes and they had Mes 30s on the shelf for 179. I looked at Walmart online and they were 173. I took the ad to Lowes and ended up getting it for 157. What a deal. I just smoked ribs in the Mes and they were awesome. The first week i did 2 whole chickens. They were good but i need to work on the chickens. My coworker has since took the ad to Lowes and got one to.I just cant get enough of this smoking hobbie. I have smoked cheese and BBB for Xmas presents for the family. Well thats all for now . I got to read the forums.

First off welcome to SMF there Ken. You'll really like this place for there are a bunch of really good folks here that would just love to help you with just about anything to do with smoking meat. Then if you have any questions you just post them here or yu can try in chat for a faster answer. If you are really new to all of this I would recommend that you look up and take the e-course. It is free and it will also give you the basics on smoking. So with all that said now go and get something to smoke.
