Hi All,

I am new to here and fairly new to smoking! I have been using a stove top hot smoker for a while and decded to go down the route of cold smoking. I shoot a lot of deer each year and so the level of meat I have means I can afford to experiment. SO I have taken a Grundy Bin and put in it a Pro Q cold smoker in it! Looking forward to learning lots of here and make a better job of things!

,

hope you are OK , welcome to the forum and all that,

I am please that you have found the Smoking Meat Forums.

As smoking has gained popularity in the UK we have been given our own group, UK Smokers. We still come under the watchful eye, and have plenty of support from our american cousins, but somethings are different in the UK and that's where the UK forum comes into it's own.

We have members from both sides of the pond so it you post a question in the UK Forum, there is a good chance it will get answered from both the UK and the US.

If you click on the following link http://www.smokingmeatforums.com/groups/show/38/uk-smokers  this will take you to the UK section of the forum where you will find a group of like minded individuals in the UK who are into smoking.

I look forward to seeing you there, and feel free to post on the UK forum.

Hi Alex and Welcome to the forum. Where in the UK are you? With all that Venison, hopefully in the South East near me

Experimenting is very important. There is no "right" way to smoke though there are certainly wrong ways. Even in the US there are distinct regional differences, and here in the UK we tend to add our own "twists" too.

If you are looking to bounce around some ideas or ask advice then please do not hesitate to post. No question is too basic. If you are just pleased with the smoke you have done then please post the photos - we love photos on here.

Cheers

Wade
