Howdy I'm Wes, a retired old F--t that just got a Char Broil Horizontal smoker. Tried a Pork Butt first, man was it good. Sunday I'm doing a rack of ribs Chinese style. and two fatties.  I live in Corsicana Texas, about 60 miles south of Dallas.  Worked as a plumber in California for over 40 years.  We moved here 2 years ago when we both retired.  Nice easy country living.  This is my first all wood smoker but I had a Char Broil Bullet Water smoker in Calif.  Left it with my son-in-law. Well that's it for now.  I am really glad I found this forum and hope to produce some fine meats in the future.

Hey tdub.  I'm from Calif. too.  Where did you live?  You know you have to show everyone that Californians can smoke too :)
I was born here in Texas but moved to Cal in 1955. Lived in Rancho Cucamonga ( where they have the intersection of Jack Benny Blvd and Rodchester Ave.) the last 20 years.  I do miss the weather.

Thank you all for your hardy welcome.  It is nice to find a forum with friendly people. I have already learned how to do Fatties from this site and am putting them on in 1/2 hour  I rolled Sharp Chedder and boilde ham inside  Will let You know how they turned out.
