Hello, my name is Bryan. I retired from the Air Force in 2001 after 20 years of service. I moved to Arkansas where I am the chair of the business department at a community college. My wife Gladys and I have 6 children, 4 boys and 2 girls. Most are grown and out of the house.
I’ve been grilling for years but I am new to smoking. I have an ECB that was given to me as gift. I came across this site by accident when I was looking for a recipe for a rub to use on some baby back ribs I was going to smoke a couple of weeks ago. I ended up buying Jeff’s rub and really enjoyed it. I followed the advice from some of the treads and the ribs came out great. Today I am smoking a butt, following the “Basic Pulled Pork” thread. So far, so good. Looking forward to dinner..

Welcome to SMF Bryan. I recomend taking Jeff's 5 Day Ecourse lots of good info and its free. Lots of good info around here and if ya get stuck just ask and someone will try to help.

Try the Finishing sauce listed just below Meowey's Basic Pulled Pork thread its great and takes the pulled pork to a whole new level

Welcome to the SMF Bryan, you'll get a big payoff from the time you invest in here! I totally agree with piney, used the finishing sauce for the first time on my last PP batch, it really kicked it up a notch!

Semper Fi from Sedalia, MO and Happy Smoke Rings. It sounds like you're in Hog Heaven? I like that part of the country. You'll like the forums and I hope you learn as much as I have.
