Using a Brinkman Smoke and Grill with water bowl, and two racks that can each hold up to 25 lbs of food. I only use charcoal and wood chips/nuggets. I am hooked on Smokin' Sundays!

Welcome to the forums!  Love the user name...references one of my favorite movies!  A real classic...

This is the best place I know for sharing ideas on smoking, grilling, curing, etc.  There are plenty of friendly, knowledgeable folks who really enjoy helping one another.  Just ask when you need anything, and someone here will surely have the answer.

to SMF!  We are so glad you joined us!

We love to see pictures of what you are cooking (or what we call q-views here at SMF).  To "upload the q-views" just follow the directions here and it will be easier. If you are using a cell phone, an IPad or a kindle, go to the main SMF page and click the Mobile button. Will make the uploads a bit faster too.

If you didn't read the "Terms of Service" notes.....please do.  There are a few things that everyone should know about those pesky little rules before plunging into the forums and some guidelines of how to interact within the forums. Off site links are not allowed here at SMF per Jeff. Not that you have done anything wrong....just a little bit of FYI for new members!

If you need any help roaming around the forums....just holler!  Happy to help out!

Thank you all for the warm welcome and the information. I finally got to sit and read through the forum rules. I like them. I have to figure out the best settings for my mobile devices, as I was capable of reading posts, but not replying. A little more research to do and I will get up and running. I do have a few photos to share and questions to ask, but I want to read through more of whats already out there. Everything I've read so far has been very helpful. I'm a New York transplant living in PA about an hour south of Montage Mountain. It's beautiful here in the "burbs" and I'm just learning to embrace my inner "country girl".  Having a passion for cooking and entertaining, I've basically got a good handle on the grill so it seemed the next move was the smoker. I've only used it 4 times. 2 x for beef brisket, once for chicken wings/drumsticks, and 1 x for a pork butt. Successes and disappointments and questions, but first, to the forums. :-) Regarding my username - Favorite memory of me with my dad and favorite movie of all time.
