Hi guys, my name's Jason and I live in Matthews, NC. I used to smoke and grill a little, but about 4 years ago my wife and I became vegetarian. My wife recently had some health issues and her naturopathic doctor suggested that she start eating meat again. This has helped her health issues dramatically so we are now back to being omnivorous! We buy beef and poultry from local, small, organic farms so that helps with our conscience and we know that the animals have been well taken care of. I am looking forward to getting back into smoking - the chicken thighs I used to smoke were legendary among my family and friends, but I want to get more adventurous and try new recipes. We are limited to beef and poultry due to the nutrition guide we are following, but I'm sure we have many options. I bought a Masterbuilt 30" electric smoker last weekend as my old propane smoker was showing the signs of being neglected for the last 4 years. I'll be smoking my old tried and tested chicken thighs to get me back into it this weekend. I'm looking forward to searching the forums for many more delicious recipes to try.
