Hello all... just stumbled across this forum and have been reading through some of the threads....Great suff!! I also signed up for the 5 day into course to smoking....Well here is my grill that I just started trying to smoke ribs with. It is a dual chamber charcoal grill I purchased from Sams Club...love the barbque part but I am undecided on the use as a smoker...I am truly a newbie to smoking but my concern is that smoke leaves from the hood and charcoal chambers as it is not sealed. I have placed wood and charcoal in one chamber and smoked ribs last weekend and they came out pretty good. Question- Should I be looking into a "smoker" to obtain optimum cooking? Are pits/smokers sealed at the hood? Well look forward to hearing from everyone and I am excited to be part of the forum.
