    Hello Everyone,

    I am a long time amateur chef and I've recently decided to learn how to smoke meats after watching the first episode of 'Cooked' on Netflix. I am excited to learn and perfect this skill. 

    I decided that my first smoke will be a 12-14lb packer brisket. I have made a post in the Smoking Meat (and other things) -> Beef subforum regarding my smoking vessel and would love to hear some opinions on whether or not it is appropriate to use it for smoking!

    Welcome to SMF!

    I saw your post & yes it will work great for a brisket, just cook it indirect with some wood chunks on the charcoal. Meat at one end brisket at the other.
