Hello all, checking in from just northwest of Phoenix, AZ here. Im a very amateur smoker at best and have been using my gas grill with a smoker box as well as a Brinkmann charcoal smoker I picked up at a rummage sale. I do mostly tri tip and ribs but am attempting a brisket today. I work 911 EMS in one of the Phoenix suburbs and im also an avid traveler. Ive been looking for places around the US to fly to, to try some excellent smoked meats. If anyone has suggestions feel free to pass them along! Hope to learn alot here. Cheers!

Welcome to the group. I was a Fire Fight/EMT-I for 10 year and with that said be safe out there. Good luck with the Brisket. If you have done Ribs  and Tri Tip you'll do fine just a longer cook is all.

Welcome
I'm a moderate level smoker from Nj love doing briskets ribs and pork. Much like you went gas ( didn't like) got a brinkmen which I love but my wife got me a master built electric which is awesome just set it and add chips so EZ but where's the fun in that lol. But the results are great
