Hello all, my name is Aaron and I live in Muskegon Michigan. I've been smoking for a few years now, mainly jerky and salmon but just recently in the last year bumped up to summer sausage, turkey's, fatties, pig candy, brats and baby back ribs. Next I'd like to do some pulled pork and I wouldnt mind trying to do some of my own bacon in the future. I'm married with three kids, none of them care for smoked foods so pretty much all that I make either goes to work or gets put in the freezer for hunting camp and fishing trips. Thanks for this great site.

Welcome to the forum.

Welcome to the SMF Aaron. Make sure you sign up for the 5 day e-course if you havn't already.

teacup13 I havn't heard Jeff Healey's name in quite some time and I must say I am quite sad to see it in that context. Thank you for putting that in your sig. He was an extremely talented musician and I'm sure even a better person. To paraphrase Mr. Joel, "Only the good die young"

RIP Jeff Healey, your songs will last an eternity.

Reading about your past smoking experience, pulled pork will be a calk walk for you, but be sure and post pics of the smoke.....

welcome to the site from Kalamazoo! You will learn alot more from here, and don't be afraid of the butts. They are my favorite thing to do, and if I can do em, anyone can. Butts are alot easier than ribs, but you have to have the time and be patient. Plan a whole day for it, and you will be rewarded. The actual work starts the night before.

Do some searches on the pork forum, and you'll be pullin pork in no time!
