Hello from Tulsa,
My name is Ryan and I am pretty new to smoking. My father has been the pit master of the family for many years and last winter I decided that I needed to get in on the game. He shared tips with me (and finally a secret family sauce recipe that is to die for), but a great deal of my success has been thanks to all of you who regularly post great ideas and recipes on this forum.
Having tried smoking in a much smaller (and cheaper) device, I can say that the money I spent to have my smoker built was worth every penny. Success never really came until I fired it up.
So far I have created brisket, ribs, babybacks, boston butt, ABT's, fatties and most recently, salmon. I'll post the Qvue on that later today.
Thanks again and I am looking forward to sharing my secrets/successes with everyone in the future (as well as begging for help regularly.)
