Hey guys, Im Kyle.... after hours of browsing online about meat smoking tips, I stumbled on a website where I should have started! I just picked up my first smoker yesterday. Nothing too crazy, its a 20" Old country BBQ pit that I had been looking at for a while. I talked the wife into it after making snide remarks everytime she mentioned roasting a turkey for thanksgiving haha. I have NO experience smoking meat, but I love grilling/BBQ'ing and looking forward to get smoking! After browsing for a little bit, i decided to join...looks like a great bunch and a TON of good info. Anyways, thanks in advance for all the info on the site!

Welcome to the SMB Kyle! Plenty of info here from plenty of great poeple! There are also some very good links on the left side of the web page that will give you heaps of good info as well!

As for experience, just ask your questions, be prepared for a multitude of answers and then get in there and get your clothes all smoky!
