Hey everyone newbie from san diego starting to smoke meat. haha I have always smoked fish with my brother albacore yellow fin and such and now we want to learn how to smoke meats. We have an electric water smoker and I hope this will work well. We are planning to do our first smoke this weekend or friday and we are planning on smoking about 8 lbs of beef ribs and a big ole pork shoulder. I look forward to an advice and look forrward to posting.

Welcome to the SMF, sounds like you've got the right attitude about having fun. You're lucky to have some great fishing close at hand, for deep sea I always went out of Diego. It's all good my friend. Looking forward to your upcoming smoke.

Welcome fishkiller, glad you joined up!
Nothing wrong with smoking on an electric smoker, long as everything tastes good that's all that matters.
Sounds like a tasty plan you have for this weekend, keep us informed.
