My Name is Jim

I live in North East Pennsylvania

I just purchased a very lightly used Landmann 40" electric

After purchasing this smoker which sold currently at homedepot for $600 I got it for $150 on craigslist.

The reviews after buying it are scattered so as soon as the temperature gets back to + numbers here i am going to give it a try.

The smoker was used 3 times and the racks don't look like anything was on them. The wood box has some stains but for the price I thought jump in.

Fingers crossed and looking to learn more here.

Hi Bear, I noticed some great pix on your profile. I was wondering about the pellet smoker you have pictured. Do you use that instead of your smoke box on your electric smoker or is it in conjunction with the wood chips? I havent bought any wood yet and thought if that works maybe ill stick to the pellets for now.

Thanks, Jim

I've been using MES smokers for over 6 years, and I quit using the built in Chip burners almost 6 years ago.

All I use is the AMNPS. They work unbelievably!!

All you do is load it up, light it properly, and put it in.

Then enjoy up to 11 hours of perfect smoke.

BTW:   I used to work at the Steel with a guy from Pottsville, name of Bill Honicker. He was transferred from Pottsville to Bethlehem, when they shut Pottsville down.
