Hello to all. My name is Michael I live in Hinton Iowa, which is 15 minutes north of Sioux City Iowa. I am married and have two children, my daughter is almost 2 and my son is almost 4. I worked at a local Coop for 10 years as an agronomist. I now manage farms for our clients that live all over the United States. My hobbies are boating, water skiing, snow skiing, grilling, raising african cichlid fish in my basement, working on the lawn, helping the older neighbors, and finally using my new smoker.
I enjoy using my Weber E-310 gas grill and just placed an order for a Landmann 3695 BGD gas smoker because of all the good reviews on GOSM Big Block. The ETA for my smoker is December 7th and can not wait. Hopefully I made a good decision. I just received my maverick ET 732 in the mail last week but will need to open it carefully because it is going to be a Christmas gift hope Santa does not care. I plan to put it back into the box before Christmas and wrap it up.
I am new to smoking. I enjoy eating meat that is smoked and thought I would give it a try. I like to thank you all for the good advise and help I have received by reading all the forums here. I would not have had a clue where to start looking for a good smoker and good info about how to smoke all kinds of food correctly. I also purchased the e course in the PDF form so I can read and re-read all the good information. Thanks
Looks like we have a good chance of snow this weekend we sure could use some moisture of any kind we have been dry for the past 4 months.
