My name is Karren. im 28. I just built my first smoker today. I plan on smoking my first thing ever tomorrow, Its going to be a pork shoulder. I'm on the fence as to marinate it or not. I'm going to use appplewood. I look forward to getting tips and tricks from all of you. I'm having company over next weekend and plan on smoking a brisket. The best brisket I ever had was from FRANKLIN BBQ. All other brisket has been dry as a bone. If you could point me in the direction of a great recipe I'd be grateful.

Hello Karren, and welcome to you.

You could also try going up in the right side top of page

see the little magnifying glass thingy.

That's the search, punch it and type in bear steps.

Follow what comes up and you will find step by step recipes

that you simply can't go wrong with.

I'd put in a link for you, but I can't.

I don't know how yet.

Try that and if you need any other help,

just ask and you will get answers.

Like to see some pictures of your smoker build too.
