Hello, I live in Lexington, Ky and am a retired teacher. I love BBQ and smoked foods. I have just an electric smoker which is light enough for me to move around and operate. I really want to be able to make good foods for tailgating. I'm really looking forward to learning a lot from this site. Thanks, Nancy

Hi Nancy,

If you are gonna use the watt burner at the game, you might need a really long extension cord!

Welcome to the site Nancy.
What kind of electric smoker do you have? I started out on a Brinkman electric gourmet.
Read around and as questions and you will be smoking some great food in no time.

Welcome to SMF from another Kentuckian. (just east of Louisville) There's plenty of folks here with electric smokers to help you with any questions and just a ton of smoking info in general. Good luck and good smokes.

SG.

Thanks for the welcome from all of you. I'm getting really excited about smoking lots of stuff on my smoker. How do I post messages? I'm wanting to smoke a couple of pork loins on my smoker this evening. Can I smoke them and then freeze them and still have them moist at a later date? I have a Foodsave vacuum that really sucks all the air out. Thanks so much for this site. I'm getting excited about trying lots of new things.

Nancy
