Hello from HOT south Georgia. I have browsed this site a few times and registered today. I have what I was told is a Brinkmann Southfork smoker and grill that was made prior to Brinkmann getting the patent. Mine is just like the one you can see at BassPro except my wheels are different...and my handles are wood instead of the spring chrome/stainless(?). I threw a little charcoal in it this past weekend just to try and learn the amount of charcoal I need to get it to temp and how long the heat lasts before adding more. The smoker is well seasoned so I had a nice smell without even putting meat on it.

I look forward to learning from all the fine folks on this site and hopefully I will have a qview in the coming months.

Glad to have you with us at the SMF. You're on the right site for great tips on smokes and Q too!

Gooose, I hope to get some experience on the smoker soon but you know what they say about the best laid plans....
