Well, I look to be the most recent join to SMF. I live in beautiful Frisco TX, which is just outside of Dallas. You know we love our meat in the South and now its time for me to start smoking my fair share.
I just got the Gen 1 version of the 40" Master Built Smoker and just seasoned it this week. I have also recently purchased the Amaz-N Pellet smoker and just waiting to receive it in the mail so I can use that vs the chips you use in the MasterBuilt.
I have done some smoking in the past using an upgrade H20 Smoker and honestly it was WAY more work than I cared to spend just to get some meat. That was the attitude when I was much younger, now, I am good with spending the time to smoke some good meat but just never did it until now. I am going to take advantage of the Electric Smoker so that it will help greatly simplify some of the pains of smoking and now with the Amaz-N pellet smoker, its about as easy as 1-2-3...... AT LEAST I PLAN TO FIND OUT!
So, this Labor Day I plan to formally break back into smoking after an 18 year sabbatical. Will be Smoking a large brisket and 2 whole chickens!! Wish me luck.
I joined this site as an FYI as it seemed every question I asked in google, it seemed to have a response from one of the members in SMF. I had to join at that point knowing this site had so many GREAT ideas!!! Can't wait to get started.....
