Hey All!

My name is Daryle and I am a newbie to smoking meat.  My wife was AWESOME and got me a smoker for my Father's Day/Birthday/Anniversary gift....since they are all within a 7 day span!  So my first smoker is a MASTERBUILT 2- Door Charcoal and Propane Gas Dual Fuel Smoker. Looking to learn all I can here and taking my BBQ-SKILLS to a new level!

Hey Daryle, a big hello and welcome from East Texas

Welcome to the board! Use the Search to look up your model of smoker to see what others are doing with theirs.
Thanks BW!  I did just as you suggested and found a good deal of info.  I am going to do my first SMOKE this weekend!  This site is like the ESPN.COM of BBQ!

Well this was my first go.  Had to do without any mods... (i was anxious to get at it)  plus all my mods were lost in the mail and had to get refunds and re-order,   Anyhow, I used good ole Frenchs Mustard and Pure Honey mix for the base, then add some BUTT RUB I got from OBX North Carolina.  I started at 6am AND the temp was 205' AT 1PM.  Pulled it out and let it sit...the bone came out clean.  Served it up with Corn on the Cob and Zucchini potato pancakes.  Shared it with the neighbors and the guys at work and EVERYONE LOVED IT!
