Have wanted to get into smoking beef for some time.

A recent issue of United Services Coop magazine that was dedicated to Texas Barbeque gave me the final push to jump in.

Did research online for a couple of weeks and kept coming back to this site.

Finally, I convinced myself that a Weber SMJ was what I needed to get started and probably what I deserved since I have never smoked anything in my life.  Then, thanks to your forum, I discovered the Master Forge charcoal bullet smoker.

If I can learn to use it, there will be opportunities to move up to a more sophisticated smoker.

Thanks to this forum, I opened the box at Lowes and was able to check every piece for condition. Assembled it and burned it in yesterday.  Will smoke a brisket this weekend.  Again, thanks for a great forum.

First off welcome to SMF there Sunny. You'll really like this place for there are a bunch of really good folks here that would just love to help you with just about anything to do with smoking meat. Then if you have any questions you just post them here or yu can try in chat for a faster answer. If you are really new to all of this I would recommend that you look up and take the e-course. It is free and it will also give you the basics on smoking. So with all that said now go and get something to smoke.
