My name is Brian and I finally decided to buy a Big Brick from Bass Pro. It should be here this weekend. I have 3 little ones 7,6 and 3. Lucky for me the 6 yr old boy loves to eat as much as I do. I've got two friends that have been smoking for awhile now that I've been sampling there goods. I'm ready to start smoking my own now. I need to find a wood supply, where's the best places? I'm glad I found this site. Thanks

Welcome to the SMF Brian, We are glad to have you onboard

Welcome to the SMF Brian. I know you're going to enjoy the big block. Consider a new door therm, and a spare tank, you'll see why. It's all good my friend.

Welcome to the SMF. I'm sure you have lots of hickory there. Any fruitwood will work great too. To get you started, Lowes has hickory and mesquite.

We do get barrel lids from Jim Beam occasionally. We tried some with a brisket and didn't care for it very much. My friend uses a wood smoker and sticks pretty much to cherry only.
