Hey guys and gals, My name is Jon I am from San Diego. I have been participating on another smoker specific forum for several years and decided to come check you guys out. I see some familiar names so I am sure there are others here who might recognize me. I currently own 3 smokers all from Cookshack. My first smoker was a free offset smoker I found at a garage sale. Used it twice, did some research and bought my first Cookshack which was a SM025 model. I then found a cookshack SM150 on craigslist for 1/4 of the cost of a new one. Then I purchased my 3rd cookshack unit a PG500. Ever since the edition of my first pellet smoker, I have found that my electrics just don't get used that much. I am thinking about getting rid of them and buying a FEC100. But for now, I am just joining the forums looking for some inspiration, tools, and hopes of learning as much as I can.

My favorite things to smoke besides the common meats are, Cheese, Almonds, Beef short ribs, fresh pacific caught fish,  and Fatties. Always looking for new cuts of meat to smoke, as well as recipes for side dishes.

Have a great week! See you in the forums.

Good evening and welcome to the forum, from a pretty nice day here in East Texas, and the best site on the web. Lots of great people with tons of information on just about  everything.
